A street team is essentially a group of volunteers, usually fans who want to support you and see you rise to the very top. They are motivated to help you sell CDs, increase your fanbase and enhance your present stature as an artist. Traditionally, street teamers spread the word about an artist and in an ideal world will bring business to the band they are representing. They hand out flyers and plaster messages on bulletin boards all over the internet.
